Sergio Zurawski is a potent, enthusiastic guitar player from Sao Paulo (Brazil) who expresses his style as multi-style instrumental with plenty of involving melodious lines, as one can appreciate on his latest album, "Pulsares". His favorite guitar is a Fender Strato Custom Shop. Zurawski has played guitar since 1974, and candidly acknowledges his career aspiration, "Developing and promoting my career as a solo artist, as well as to intensify and to strengthen my activities related to the composition of soundtracks for theater, dance, movie, TV."
When asked to name his number one effect for the guitar, Zurawski answered back with, "Reverb," and then cited his musicial goals, "Spreading my music all around the world such as most people can listen to it and enjoy it." He hopes to one day study piano, and is at this time listening to Pink Floyd, Tom Jobim, Djavan, Ethnic and music in general. His utmost fulfillment? "Understanding that music is a transcendental, universal language, independent of the composer's ethnical or geographical origin, so that it can be felt and understood by anyone, no matter what side of the world they are on," he affirms unquestionably.
Zurawski concludes by mentioning continuing and future undertakings in his own words, "At present I am recording two different instrumental CD projects. One of them is in association with Edu Vianna, a Brazilian composer, drummer and producer, with the participation of several other musicians. The other one will be only Belchior songs. Belchior is a well known Brazilian singer/songwriter. It is a totally solo project, where I blend lots of acoustic and electric guitars and keyboards, different samples and some drum loops. Although Belchior is not an instrumental composer, he will be revisited here like that. Also I am writing a chronicle book, where I describe situations I lived for 15 years on the road as a side man musician. Next year I will be recording an instrumental CD entirely based on Afro-Brazilian rhythms and percussion."
