Scott Allen is a skillful, energetic guitarist from Sacramento, California (U.S.A.) who describes his style as instrumental hard rock, as demonstrated on his latest release, "What Lies Beyond Words". photoHis guitar of choice is an Ibanez RG Prestige. Allen has played guitar since 1986, and clearly states his career goal, "Tour internationally, perform clinics for instrument companies, and continue to make quality records."

When asked about his favorite effect for the guitar, Allen replied, "Lexicon delay," and mentioned his musicial goals, "Make inspired guitar music that reaches everyone, not just musicians (although I hope that they like it too)." He would love to someday study classical composition and arranging, and is currently listening to Audioslave, Tori Amos, Dream Theater, Joe Satriani and U2. His greatest satisfaction? "Hearing a positive review of my music. You work so hard in relative seclusion when writing; it is incredible to hear that someone out there loves what you do," he states unequivocally.

photoAllen lists ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "I just did a DVD project with KRXQ 98 Rock in Sacramento. We have been doing a number of live shows and are preparing to get into the studio this summer to follow up on our current release. I am also constantly writing new material; sadly not much of it will make the next CD due to an abundance of songs."

Allen's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes one recording project (Scott Allen Project "What Lies Beyond Words").
