Roberto Priori is a sparkling, spirited guitarist from Bologna (Italy) who describes his style as melodic instrumental hard rock ("but also i like to play in a band with a singer"), as documented on his latest release, "Avoid Yawed Flight". photoHis guitars of choice include a Fender Stratocaster and a '97 Ritchie Sambora. Priori has played guitar since 1977, and frankly confirms his career goal, "Working in different areas of the music business, from playing live with different acts to work in studio as producer/engineer."

When requested to name his preferred effect for the guitar, Priori responded with, "Digital delay on dotted eighths (1/8 +1/16) with analog tape simulation," and submitted his musicial goals, "I like to write instrumental songs with a structure like sung tunes, with the lead part playing a real melody and having a 16/32 bar solo." He would like to someday study different guitar styles, like fusion or jazz, and is currently listening to Aerosmith, Alanis Morissette, and melodic rock. His greatest satisfaction? "I had great times playing with the Italian pop star 38832 for five years in front of huge audiences (up to 100,000 people), but I hope to get a following for my own projects," he answers indisputably.

photoPriori mentions ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "Teaching at Music Academy 2000, working in my studio and playing live with 2 bands. I'm going to make a rock album with Michele Luppi on vocals."

Guitar Nine Records visitors have compared the playing style and/or musical approach of Roberto Priori to guitarists such as Joe Satriani and others.

Priori's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes one solo album ("Avoid Yawed Flight") and participation on another recording (Matt Cafissi "All The Little Things").
