Robbie Angelucci is a potent, enthusiastic guitar player from Los Angeles, California (USA) who expresses his style as a blend of rock, jazz, funk and pop, as one can appreciate on his latest album, "A Guy With An Accent". His favorite guitars include a '62 Reissue Strat and a Deluxe Strat with a Seymour Duncan at the bridge. Angelucci has played guitar since 1992, and candidly acknowledges his career aspiration, "To be still making a living with music: sessions, gigs, writing songs and producing different things. I would like to write a soundtrack for a movie with my instrumental music. Hopefully working just with good guys!"
When asked to name his number one effect for the guitar, Angelucci answered back with, "Wah Wah," and then cited his musicial goals, "I hope that what I play, and how I play, moves people. All kinds of people; even the old woman in the neighborhood.
" He hopes to one day study trumpet (and play like Miles!), and is at this time listening to Zeppelin, Dave Mathews Band, Pat Metheny Group, and a lot of radio -
mainstream and not. His utmost fulfillment? "There is nothing else like playing live - being locked in with the drummer, with your tone just right there, and the people feeling it. That's a place where nobody can touch you," he affirms unquestionably.
Angelucci concludes by mentioning continuing and future undertakings in his own words, "Gigging and looking for gigs. My R&B band, my trio and all kinds of stuff.
Writing for a magazine in Italy - AXE (axemagazine.com); and working on writing songs... that's still the most important thing in music."
Angelucci's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes one solo album ("A Guy With An Accent").
