Rob Balducci is a talented and adroit axe wielder currently based in Queens, New York (U.S.A.) who represents his playing style as instrumental rock blending progressive, hard rock and fusion, as a music fan can now experience on his most recent recording, "Mantra". His workhorse guitar is an Ibanez Custom Rob Balducci RG Model. Balducci has been playing guitar since 1981, and putting it simply, divulges his career objective, "To be posibly producing musicians. To be a successful songwriter and guitarist."
When requested to let slip his favorite or most used effect for the guitar, Balducci resolutely answered, "Delay," and then outlined his musicial goals, "All my compositions have meaning. None of my songs are filler tracks for my albums. Each one makes you feel certain emotions and I try to convey what I was feeling when I wrote the song, whether it be sadness or anger or fear. " He maintains a desire to, at some point, study engineering, and is at the moment listening to Tool, Scott Henderson and Metallica. His principal gratification? "My greatest satisfaction is completing my vision for my compositions and seeing them come alive in the studio," he explains without hesitation.
Balducci wraps up by noting long-term and forthcoming endeavors enthusiastically, by saying, "I always try and come up with new song ideas. I carry around a small tape recorder just in case I come up with a melody or riff I will hum it into the recorder. What's next? I am currently getting ready to release my follow up to "Balance" entitled "Mantra". "Mantra" was just recorded at Avatar studio in NY and is produced by Ben Fowler. You can hear samples on my website: www.RobBalducci.com."
