Peter Neri is an energetic and talented axe wielder currently based in Sharon, Vermont (U.S.A.) who represents his playing style as solo acoustical instrumental guitar ("or new acoustic"), as a listener can readily appreciate on his most recent album, "Night Visions". His most utilized guitars include a Gibson J-45 steel strung acoustic and an Alvarez-Yairi nylon strung acoustic. Neri has been playing guitar since 1980, and without beating around the bush discloses his career aspiration, "Selling CDs and making enough money from them to continue to create and record new acoustical guitar instrumentals. "
When prompted to divulge his ultimate effect for the guitar, Neri responded by saying, "Reverb/chorus," and continued by citing his musicial goals, "Stretching the definitions of acoustical guitar music and at the same time, creating melodic and memorable pieces." He eagerly hopes to one day study slide blues guitar from a master player, and is presently listening to Doug Smith, Peter Finger and Preston Reed. His principal fulfillment? "The greatest satisfaction that I get from the entire musical experience is in the act of creating a new song," he declares without a doubt.
Neri wraps up by mentioning current and approaching undertakings enthusiastically, by saying, "I have been splitting my time with marketing "Night Visions" and writing new music for a second CD."
Neri's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes one solo album ("Night Visions").
