Peter Neri is a committed, passionate guitar player from Sharon, Vermont (U.S.A.) who expresses his style as solo acoustical instrumental guitar ("or new acoustic"), as can be heard on his latest release, "Night Visions". His favorite guitars include a Gibson J-45 steel strung acoustic and an Alvarez-Yairi nylon strung acoustic. Neri has played guitar since 1980, and plainly avows his career goal, "Selling CDs and making enough money from them to continue to create and record new acoustical guitar instrumentals. "
When asked to reveal his ideal effect for the guitar, Neri countered with, "Reverb/chorus," and then detailed his musicial goals, "Stretching the definitions of acoustical guitar music and at the same time, creating melodic and memorable pieces." He would like to someday study slide blues guitar from a master player, and is at this time listening to Doug Smith, Peter Finger and Preston Reed. His utmost satisfaction? "The greatest satisfaction that I get from the entire musical experience is in the act of creating a new song," he answers decidedly.
Neri details continuing and future projects in his own words, "I have been splitting my time with marketing "Night Visions" and writing new music for a second CD."
