Peter Neri is a driven, dazzling guitar player from Sharon, Vermont (U.S.A.) who expresses his style as solo acoustical instrumental guitar ("or new acoustic"), as one can appreciate on his latest album, "Night Visions". His favorite guitars consist of a Gibson J-45 steel strung acoustic and an Alvarez-Yairi nylon strung acoustic. Neri has played guitar since 1980, and candidly avows his career aspiration, "Selling CDs and making enough money from them to continue to create and record new acoustical guitar instrumentals. "
When asked to name his number one effect for the guitar, Neri answered back with, "Reverb/chorus," and then cited his musicial goals, "Stretching the definitions of acoustical guitar music and at the same time, creating melodic and memorable pieces." He hopes to one day study slide blues guitar from a master player, and is at this time listening to Doug Smith, Peter Finger and Preston Reed. His utmost fulfillment? "The greatest satisfaction that I get from the entire musical experience is in the act of creating a new song," he affirms unquestionably.
Neri details continuing and future undertakings in his own words, "I have been splitting my time with marketing "Night Visions" and writing new music for a second CD."
Neri's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes one solo album ("Night Visions").
