Neil Rambaldi is a unmistakable, dazzling guitar player from Belleville, New Jersey (U.S.A.) who expresses his style as progressive rock fusion, as one can appreciate on his latest release, "Perpetual Horizon". His favorite guitars consist of a Customized Ibanez RG1550 and a Hand-made custom electric. Rambaldi has played guitar since 1993, and plainly avows his career goal, "My goal for the next five to ten years includes releasing, at the
least, my second solo album with international retail distribution, touring
abroad, continuing to license my music for use in various forms of
multimedia, and of course ever-evolving and ever-improving my skills as a
musician and my ability to portray a story through my music."
When asked to name his number one effect for the guitar, Rambaldi countered with, "Delay," and then cited his musicial goals, "To tell a story that translates my thoughts and emotions
into something that is aurally tangible, with hopes of also illustrating
something visual that exceeds people's imaginations." He hopes to someday study traditional Flamenco technique, and is at this time listening to various kinds of Rock, Blues, Flamenco, Classical, and some Jazz. His utmost satisfaction? "Well firstly, without emotion there is no art, and without the proper
technique to portray that emotion, there is no means to express it. My
greatest satisfaction as a musician is when my technique is matched to my
emotions in the sense that it is able to accurately illustrate the story to
my audience without me having to speak it with my lips. Every note is an
emotion, or part of one - just like words in a sentence," he answers unquestionably.
Rambaldi details continuing and future projects in his own words, "I am currently recording my second solo album, while also teaching private
lessons and doing some occasional session work. I look forward to releasing
my next solo album sometime in 2008."
