Martin Motnik is a talented and highly regarded bassist currently based in Munich (Germany) who reveals his playing style as instrumental rock, as a listener can readily experience on his most recent album, "Bass Invader". photoHis most utilized bass is a Ritter bass. Motnik has been playing bass since 1984, and with no holds barred declares his career aspiration, "To be an international working studio bassist and solo artist."

When requested to divulge his one essential effect for the bass, Motnik came back with, "Distortion," and then pointed out his musicial goals, "Showing the huge versatility of the bass bass with songs that are also enjoyable for non-musicians." He fervently hopes to one day study with all those big-shot bass players in one big camp and have a big jam, while watching and learning the trademarks of their playing, and is presently listening to Gregg Bissonette and Mattias "IA" Eklundh. His primary fulfillment? "Since I am a perfectionist, I'm never really happy about a recording directly afterwards. Listening to it the next day, finding that I like it, always makes me very happy," he declares categorically.

Motnik concludes by listing current and approaching undertakings succinctly, by saying, "I'm preparing for clinic tours for Line 6 and Gallien-Krueger. That will keep me busy for the next few months."
