Mark Huettman is an expressive and adroit axe wielder currently based in San Diego, California (U.S.A.) who represents his playing style as melodic instrumental shred, as a music fan can now experience on his most recent recording, "Product". His workhorse guitar is a Fender Stratocaster. Huettman has been playing guitar since 1983, and putting it simply, divulges his career objective, "To earn 100% of my income from playing music."
When asked to finally make public his favorite or most used effect for the guitar, Huettman unflinchingly stated, "Distortion," and continued by outlining his musicial goals, "To get others to have as much fun experiencing the music as we are having performing it." He maintains a desire to, at some point, study the effects of weightlessness due to a band performing in outer space, and is at the moment listening to advanced rock guitarists ("Greg Howe, Eric Johnson, George Bellas, Rob Johnson, and believe me, everybody else"). His principal gratification? "Respect and praise from my peers," he explains absolutely.
Huettman wraps up by noting long-term and forthcoming endeavors enthusiastically, by saying, "The next "Asteroids" CD."
