Mark Huettman is a highly regarded and talented axe wielder currently based in San Diego, California (U.S.A.) who represents his playing style as melodic instrumental shred, as a listener can readily appreciate on his most recent album, "Product". His most utilized guitar is a Fender Stratocaster. Huettman has been playing guitar since 1983, and without beating around the bush discloses his career aspiration, "To earn 100% of my income from playing music."
When prompted to divulge his ultimate effect for the guitar, Huettman responded by saying, "Distortion," and continued by citing his musicial goals, "To get others to have as much fun experiencing the music as we are having performing it." He eagerly hopes to one day study the effects of weightlessness due to a band performing in outer space, and is presently listening to advanced rock guitarists ("Greg Howe, Eric Johnson, George Bellas, Rob Johnson, and believe me, everybody else"). His principal fulfillment? "Respect and praise from my peers," he declares without a doubt.
Huettman wraps up by mentioning current and approaching undertakings enthusiastically, by saying, "The next "Asteroids" CD."
Huettman's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes one solo album ("Product").
