Lyle Workman is an enthusiastic, dynamic guitarist from Glendale, California (U.S.A.) who describes his style as rock influenced by jazz, classical, pop and country, as demonstrated on his latest release, "Tabula Rasa". His guitar of choice is a Fender Telecaster. Workman has played guitar since 1973, and clearly states his career goal, "Composing symphonies, reaching a bigger audience with my music."
When asked about his favorite effect for the guitar, Workman replied, "Delay," and mentioned his musicial goals, "I try to compose music that has depth and creates an emotional tone. I hope to provide a product that is unique." He would love to someday study piano, and is currently listening to Radiohead, 20th century classical music, Django Reinhardt, XTC and Weather Report. His greatest satisfaction? "Completing a piece of music and having others appreciate it," he states unequivocally.
Workman lists ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "Touring with Beck and writing for the next project."
