Kevin Cardamore is a vital, passionate guitar player from Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) who expresses his style as steel string fingerstyle, as can be heard on his latest release, "Steel Strings". His favorite guitars include a Lowden SLE (Special Limited Edition) Fingerstyle and a 1996 Lowden O12. Cardamore has played guitar since 1965, and plainly confirms his career goal, "Professional concert touring."
When asked to reveal his ideal effect for the guitar, Cardamore countered with, "Ibeam Passive to Ultrasound Ultra DI to Yamaha AG Stomp in P1 setting," and then detailed his musicial goals, "Any guitarist's style is a culmination of many influences from others
and from within. I always make efforts to be original by improvising on my
influences. I wish not to be identified as sounding like well known guitarists, and
strive to be original with my chops and compositions." He would like to someday study with Pat Metheny, and is at this time listening to Lenny Breau and Pierre Bensussan. His utmost satisfaction? "When I finish a gig and meet with the folks in the audience," he answers decidedly.
Cardamore mentions continuing and future projects in his own words, "Currently recording my second CD, due to be released
in the next few months."
Cardamore's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes one solo album ("Steel Strings").
