Ken Snyder is a passionate, committed six-stringer from Encino, California (USA) who reveals his style as instrumental hard rock, as one can clearly experience on his latest album, "One". His favorite guitars include a Turquoise Quilted Maple Top and a Mahogany Body Wayne guitar. Snyder has played guitar since 1979, and candidly acknowledges his career aspiration, "Working on movie soundtracks, TV music, etc and releasing both solo instrumental and vocal band CDs."
When requested to reveal his ultimate effect for the guitar, Snyder answered back with, "Boss overdrive," and then brought up his musicial goals, "Energy and emotion are the things that really grab my attention and I am trying to capture that in my playing. Fire and ice really. I try and take the listener on a journey, whether it be a minute of pure adrenaline or thirty seconds tearing at your heart strings." He hopes to one day study movie soundtrack production and engineering, and is at this time listening to Planet X, Nickelback, Andromeda, Arc and the new Allman Brothers CD. His primary fulfillment? "Just being able to make music that people enjoy, even if it is only one person," he affirms conclusively.
Snyder concludes by mentioning continuing and future undertakings succinctly, by saying, "Working on a 2nd instrumental CD, getting an instrumental band together to do live shows, a blues band and future shows and recordings with my alter ego Cut Throat."
Snyder's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes several solo albums ("One", "Nevermore", "Progressive By Nature").
