Ken Burtch is a reputable and consummate axe wielder currently based in Spokane (Washington U.S.A.) who represents his playing style as variable, from light jazz to metal, as a listener can readily appreciate on his most recent recording, "Ken Burtch". His most utilized guitar is a guitar that stays in tune. Burtch has been playing guitar since 1985, and straight from the shoulder discloses his career objective, "I'm already there. Anything else is a bonus."
When asked to finally make public his ultimate effect for the guitar, Burtch unflinchingly stated, "Digital delay," and continued by outlining his musicial goals, "I want my compositions to sound 'alive'." He eagerly hopes to, at some point, study recording engineering, and is presently listening to unknown independent artists. His principal gratification? "Playing clean with no effects whatsoever," he explains absolutely.
Burtch wraps up by mentioning current and approaching endeavors enthusiastically, by saying, "The Generation Ibanez Project is my latest one. After that, I'll take it one day at a time."
Burtch's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes one solo album ("Ken Burtch") and participation on another recording (Generation Ibanez Project "Across The Miles").
