Joe Elliott is an accomplished, dynamic guitarist from Los Angeles, California (U.S.A.) who describes his style as fusion ("an eclectic mix of everything i've ever played"), as demonstrated on his latest release, "Joe's Place". His guitars of choice consist of a Ted Kellison custom "Strat" model and a Martin 0018E. Elliott has played guitar since 1971, and clearly states his career goal, "To continue earning my living playing guitar, teaching guitar, and writing/recording music."
When asked about his favorite effect for the guitar, Elliott replied, "None," and mentioned his musicial goals, "My tunes are really a result of my brain mixing up the gazillion songs I've played gigging all these years." He would love to someday study arranging for an orchestra, and is currently listening to Robben Ford, Scott Henderson and Joe Pass. His greatest satisfaction? "Musically, I'd have to say having an entire song (head, comping, and solo) flow like a natural event," he states unequivocally.
Elliott lists ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "My band is starting a new CD project in April of 1999."
