Joachim Schutte is a committed, energetic guitarist from Hemmingen (Germany) who describes his style as rock, fusion and funk, as demonstrated on his latest release, "Unknown Land". His guitars of choice include a Schecter Strat and a custom-made Sammy Sanchez Strat. Schutte has played guitar since 1978, and clearly states his career goal, "Playing big gigs with L.A. Sux and doing interesting studio work."
When asked about his favorite effect for the guitar, Schutte replied, "Delay," and mentioned his musicial goals, "To learn more about country and jazz and to be a good composer." He would love to someday study with Steve Vai and Eric Johnson, and is currently listening to Eric Johnson and Madonna. His greatest satisfaction? "Completing the recording of a new song," he states unequivocally.
Schutte lists ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "Currently doing studio work as a guitarist and engineer for different projects. Gigs with the bands Real Time and XXL. Recording a band called Ladies First. Writing new L.A. Sux songs."
Schutte's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes several recording projects (L.A. Sux "Unknown Land", L.A. Sux "Time Never Stops").
