Jeremiah Snyder is a vibrant and driven musician/guitarist currently based in Ralston, Oklahoma (U.S.A.) who denotes his playing style as rock/jazz/elevator music, as one might want to hear on his most recent recording, "Mr. Happy". His workhorse guitar is a Fender Strat. Snyder has been playing guitar since 1994, and truthfully shares his career objective, "I don't really have a career goal I guess. I believe it's unrealistic to think I can make a living out of this. Besides, when it starts to feel like work I'll quit."
When the attempt was made to uncover his definitive or preferred effect for the guitar, Snyder purposefully responded with, "Reverb," and then volunteered his musicial goals, "To put out three CDs before I self destruct." He keeps open the possibility to, at some point, study more about producing ("I've been producing for about five years now and would like to get better. Even some of the tracks on this CD I wish I could do over again because I'm not quite satisfied with them"), and is at the moment listening to John Mellencamp's new CD, Mark Knopfler's "Golden Heart" and Chris Korblien's CD ("I bought it right here on Guitar Nine -- pretty cool too -- good work Chris"). His most important gratification? "I get the greastest satisfaction in writing I guess. I'll write something -- a song or instrumental -- then record it and never play it again," he muses emphatically.
Snyder winds up by detailing long-term and forthcoming endeavors insightfully, by saying, "Right now I'm working on an acoustic album. It has electric bass and drum samples but all I'm playing on it is an acoustic guitar. It's about half finished. I also have enough stuff already recorded for two more CD's but I'm just waiting to see how this one does. So until then I'll try to stay sober and outta jail."
