Il-Min Choi is a highly regarded, enthusiastic guitar player from Seoul (South Korea) who expresses his style as instrumental hard rock, as one can appreciate on his latest album, "Guitar Recipe". His favorite guitar is a Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster. Choi has played guitar since 1985, and candidly acknowledges his career aspiration, "Constant instrumental guitar playing. That be all!"
When requested to reveal his number one effect for the guitar, Choi answered back with, "TC Electronics G Force and Tube Screamer 9," and then brought up his musicial goals, "I want to express international music sense by using my guitar. My music is not for Korean fan only, but for world's guitar music fan." He hopes to one day study nothing in particular, and is at this time listening to all of Joe Satriani's albums, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck and Andy Timmons. His utmost fulfillment? "Video games! I like them very much," he affirms conclusively.
Choi concludes by mentioning continuing and future undertakings in his own words, "My CD "Guitar Recipe" will be released by Zeneon (licensed In Japan) in February, 2005. I'll also be an endorser (Hohn Sipit that Korean Custom Shop of Freebud) in December, 2004."
