Harry Kapeliaris is an energetic and unmistakable musician/guitarist currently based in Athens, Attiki (Greece) who denotes his playing style as jazz/rock fusion, as one might want to hear on his most recent recording, "Journey To Light". His workhorse guitars include a Vigier Excalibur Indus and a Codin ACS Natural SG. Kapeliaris has been playing guitar since 1987, and truthfully shares his career objective, "To continue to make music that I like."
When the attempt was made to uncover his definitive or preferred effect for the guitar, Kapeliaris purposefully responded with, "Line6 DL4 Delay Modeler," and then volunteered his musicial goals, "To develop my guitar playing and grow as a composer." He keeps open the possibility to, at some point, study classical guitar - all the Bach tunes, and is at the moment listening to Cab 4 ("just great"), Bireli Lagrene "Gypsy Project" and Brett Garsed "Big Sky". His most important gratification? "To make a living from guitar projects," he muses emphatically.
Kapeliaris winds up by detailing long-term and forthcoming endeavors insightfully, by saying, "I'm playing on the upcoming CD from Harry Boutselakis, "Puzzle", which will be released bu Musicmirror in May of 2005. I'm writing tunes for my new CD, and i am also looking for a lot of guest appearances. I'll be collaborating with Nicos Saleas (clarinet) to make an ethnic mood CD which will also released by Musicmirror in January of 2006."
Kapeliaris's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes several solo albums ("Journey To Light", "Return").
