Goncalo Pereira is a committed, sparkling guitar player from Amadora, Lisbon (Portugal) who expresses his style as instrumental progressive hard rock, as can be heard on his latest release, "Goncalopereira@G_Spot". His favorite guitar is a Paul Reed Smith Custom 24. Pereira has played guitar since 1988, and plainly avows his career goal, "I'm just going up the stairs of life not knowing when I'll get tired."
When asked to reveal his ideal effect for the guitar, Pereira countered with, "Delay," and then detailed his musicial goals, "I try to express and share my enthusiasm for life." He hopes to someday study flute, drums and clarinet, and is at this time listening to Steve Vai, Pat Metheny Group, Dream Theater, Aerosmith and Harem Scarem. His utmost satisfaction? "Those days you´re so inspired you feel you could do almost anything," he answers decidedly.
Pereira details continuing and future projects in his own words, "I'm about to release my first (and Portugal's first) instructional video. Afterwards, I'll record the follow up to "Upgrade". Also preparing to attack the Portuguese charts with a rock band.
"
