Goncalo Pereira is a vibrant and consummate axe wielder currently based in Amadora, Lisbon (Portugal) who represents his playing style as instrumental progressive hard rock, as a music fan can now experience on his most recent recording, "Goncalopereira@G_Spot". His most utilized guitar is a Paul Reed Smith Custom 24. Pereira has been playing guitar since 1988, and straight from the shoulder discloses his career objective, "I'm just going up the stairs of life not knowing when I'll get tired."
When asked to finally make public his favorite or most used effect for the guitar, Pereira unflinchingly stated, "Delay," and continued by outlining his musicial goals, "I try to express and share my enthusiasm for life." He eagerly hopes to, at some point, study flute, drums and clarinet, and is presently listening to Steve Vai, Pat Metheny Group, Dream Theater, Aerosmith and Harem Scarem. His principal gratification? "Those days you´re so inspired you feel you could do almost anything," he explains absolutely.
Pereira wraps up by mentioning current and approaching endeavors enthusiastically, by saying, "I'm about to release my first (and Portugal's first) instructional video. Afterwards, I'll record the follow up to "Upgrade". Also preparing to attack the Portuguese charts with a rock band.
