George Sabol is a committed and adroit axe wielder currently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (U.S.A.) who represents his playing style as instrumental shred guitar, as a music fan can now experience on his most recent recording, "Nocturnal Overture". His workhorse guitar is an Ibanez RG-550. Sabol has been playing guitar since 1976, and putting it simply, divulges his career objective, "I see myself in the very near future doing more guitar clinics, obtaining a record deal with mass media and merchandising promotions and releasing more CDs, instructional videos and books. Also doing music for horror movies."
When requested to let slip his favorite or most used effect for the guitar, Sabol unflinchingly stated, "Alesis Quadraverb," and then outlined his musicial goals, "I try to get what inspires me to come out in my music. When I see a picture or old movie, I write my music to it. I want the listener to hear what they see." He maintains a desire to, at some point, study keyboard and recording, and is at the moment listening to Evergrey, Arch Enemy, King Diamond, and Type O Negative. His principal gratification? "Writing good music that can stand the test of time. Teaching students and doing guitar clinics," he explains without hesitation.
Sabol wraps up by noting long-term and forthcoming endeavors enthusiastically, by saying, "I am currently working on my next instrumental CD " Vamp 442" and a full length orchestrated CD of dark instrumental music for haunted attractions."
Sabol's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes one recording project (Infernal Soul "Nocturnal Overture").
