Francesco Fareri is a seasoned and consummate axe wielder currently based in Rome (Italy) who represents his playing style as shred with progressive and neo-classical influences, as a listener can readily appreciate on his most recent recording, "Suspension". His most utilized guitar is an Ibanez RG550 (an old model with a maple fretboard). Fareri has been playing guitar since 1995, and straight from the shoulder discloses his career objective, "Live for music (teach music, record music, produce music, eat music...)"
When prompted to divulge his ultimate effect for the guitar, Fareri unflinchingly stated, "Distortion," and continued by citing his musicial goals, "I'm trying to put my emotions and state of mind within my music, and make my shred kind of music a "melodic shred" with emotional arpeggio runs, so there is passion behind the speed." He eagerly hopes to, at some point, study the fusion style with Greg Howe ("it would be a dream also to meet him one time!"), and is presently listening to Vitalij Kuprij, Greg Howe and Jon Doman. His principal gratification? "To have made my CD all by myself," he explains without a doubt.
Fareri wraps up by mentioning current and approaching endeavors enthusiastically, by saying, "I'm taking new inspiration for new music."
