Denis Taaffe is a potent, vibrant guitarist from Bloomington, Indiana (U.S.A.) who describes his style as modern rock guitar instrumentals, as demonstrated on his latest release, "Modern Guitar Vol. 4". photoHis guitars of choice include a Jackson Stealthex and a Schecter. Taaffe has played guitar since 1978, and openly affirms his career goal, "To continue to evolve my style and make/release guitar recordings I enjoy, Work with band."

When prompted to reveal his favorite effect for the guitar, Taaffe replied, "Tube overdrive," and offered his musicial goals, "My goal is to create music that captures "magical" moments and leads into new directions." He would love to someday study fingerpicking and classical guitar, and is currently listening to Tangerine Dream, Sinead O'Connor, Eric Johnson, Iron Maiden and Phillip Glass. His greatest satisfaction? "Developing my own guitar style and compositional style," he states unambiguously.

Taaffe notes ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "Kradl guitar pick instructional CD, second CD with band, solo electric guitar gigs (loops, etc.), gigs with band to support CD."
