Dean McGinnes is a consummate and reputable six-stringer currently based in Monifieth, Scotland (United Kingdom) who reveals his playing style as instrumental melodic/experimental rock, as a listener can readily experience on his most recent album, "The Journey Of Life". His most utilized guitars consist of an Ibanez JS900 and a Peavey Wolfgang Standard. McGinnes has been playing guitar since 2002, and with no holds barred reveals his career aspiration, "I'm off down south to do a music course at BIMM. That will last around three
years, but anything could happen. I'm hoping to get in a professional band and tour the
world."
When asked to divulge his one essential effect for the guitar, McGinnes responded by saying, "Delay," and continued by mentioning his musicial goals, "Anything i write has a meaning, what i was feeling or what I was going through at the time. So i'm hopeful people can relate to that." He fervently hopes to one day study at Berklee (that's the best of the best), and is presently listening to Thomas Blug, Andy Timmons, John Mayer and Bill Withers. His primary fulfillment? "Playing a gig, it's just great, I love it," he declares incontestably.
McGinnes concludes by detailing current and approaching undertakings succinctly, by saying, "I was getting a progressive rock band together. Got about four songs but that has stopped. I'm hopful that will pick up again when I start my music course and get some other top musicians."
