Dave Reynolds is a passionate, self-motivated guitarist from Germantown, Maryland (U.S.A.) who describes his style as classical guitar, as documented on his latest release, "Solo". His guitar of choice is a Contreras ("Made in Madrid, Spain by the Contreras Family"). Reynolds has played guitar since 1974, and openly affirms his career goal, "Concert career and a university teaching position."
When prompted to reveal his preferred effect for the guitar, Reynolds responded with, "Alla natural," and offered his musicial goals, "I am using my background in jazz and rock to influence my writing on the classical guitar." He would love to someday study for a Doctorate Degree in Music ("I currently have a Masters in Performance"), and is currently listening to Manuel Barrueco, Christopher Parkening and Pat Metheny. His greatest satisfaction? "Performing on the concert stage," he states unambiguously.
Reynolds notes ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "I am entering an original competition in an international solo guitar composition. I am going to publish a book early next year of a dozen of my original compositions and record those compositions as well. I will sell the book and the CD seperately or together."
