Danny John is a potent, self-motivated guitarist from Sydney, New South Wales (Australia) who describes his style as progressive jazz rock fusion, as documented on his latest release, "Mr Twister". photoHis guitars of choice include a Music Man Axis and an Ibanez S series. John has played guitar since 1984, and openly affirms his career goal, "To be recognised as one of the leading guitar players in the world."

When prompted to reveal his preferred effect for the guitar, John responded with, "MXR EVH Phase 90 ," and offered his musicial goals, "I am trying to express raw energy, the diverse nature of the human condition through complex rhythms and harmonic compositions, the techniques and compositions I have developed are evolutionary in modern music." He would love to someday study quantum Mechanics, Saxophone, and is currently listening to Brett Garsed, Alan Holdsworth, Frank Gambale, Danny John Trio, Van Halen. His greatest satisfaction? "Cricket and writing new music," he states unambiguously.

photoJohn notes ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "Working on the new Danny John Trio album, more progressive, more intricate harmonies and meters, more like Zappa. "

John's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes one recording project (Danny John Trio "Mr Twister").
