Daniel Wentworth is an energetic, spirited guitarist from Ann Arbor, Michigan (U.S.A.) who describes his style as hard rock/metal ("with a blues edge"), as documented on his latest release, "Daniel Wentworth". His guitars of choice include a Charvel (customized) and an Ibanez. Wentworth has played guitar since 1976, and frankly confirms his career goal, "To sell about five times the amount of CDs I'm currently selling. To finish as many albums as I can, hopefully two or three more in the next five years and also travel and play all over the world."
When requested to name his preferred effect for the guitar, Wentworth responded with, "Delay," and submitted his musicial goals, "To put into music what I feel with my soul and hear in my head." He would like to someday study violin, and is currently listening to Megadeth "Cryptic Writings", Howling Diablos "Green Bottle", Plow "Jake" and Joe Satriani "Crystal Planet". His greatest satisfaction? "My greatest satisfaction is in meeting so many people and having so many great friendships resulting from my music. Music has introduced me to some incredible, life changing friendships, I wouldn't have otherwise had," he answers indisputably.
Wentworth mentions ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "Currently recording second solo album at Down River Sound Studios, Trenton, Michigan. Also currently negotiating some very far away performances for this spring. I may do some touring before finishing the next album."
Guitar Nine Records visitors have compared the playing style and/or musical approach of Daniel Wentworth to guitarists such as Joe Satriani and others.
