Daniel Wentworth is an accomplished, 'righteous' six-stringer from Ann Arbor, Michigan (U.S.A.) who reveals his style as hard rock/metal ("with a blues edge"), as one can clearly experience on his latest album, "Daniel Wentworth". His favorite guitars consist of a Charvel (customized) and an Ibanez. Wentworth has played guitar since 1976, and freely declares his career aspiration, "To sell about five times the amount of CDs I'm currently selling. To finish as many albums as I can, hopefully two or three more in the next five years and also travel and play all over the world."
When requested to divulge his ultimate effect for the guitar, Wentworth came back with, "Delay," and then pointed out his musicial goals, "To put into music what I feel with my soul and hear in my head." He fervently hopes to one day study violin, and is at this time listening to Megadeth "Cryptic Writings", Howling Diablos "Green Bottle", Plow "Jake" and Joe Satriani "Crystal Planet". His primary fulfillment? "My greatest satisfaction is in meeting so many people and having so many great friendships resulting from my music. Music has introduced me to some incredible, life changing friendships, I wouldn't have otherwise had," he affirms categorically.
Wentworth concludes by listing continuing and future undertakings succinctly, by saying, "Currently recording second solo album at Down River Sound Studios, Trenton, Michigan. Also currently negotiating some very far away performances for this spring. I may do some touring before finishing the next album."
Guitar Nine Records visitors have compared the playing style and/or musical approach of Daniel Wentworth to guitarists such as Joe Satriani and others.
Wentworth's discography (available here at Guitar Nine Records) includes several solo albums ("Caught In A Jam", "Daniel Wentworth", "Axe To Grind") and participation on another recording (Handz Of Danz "Handz Of Danz").
