Curtis is an expressive and skillful axe wielder currently based in Playa del Rey, California (U.S.A.) who represents his playing style as instrumental rock/jazz, as a music fan can now experience on his most recent recording, "Room 137". photoHis most utilized guitar is a Tom Anderson Classic. Curtis has been playing guitar since 1977, and straight from the shoulder divulges his career objective, "Short term, to sell enough CDs so that I can record and release a follow up. Long term, to write and record great music and share it with as many people as possible."

When asked to finally make public his favorite or most used effect for the guitar, Curtis unflinchingly stated, "Delay," and continued by outlining his musicial goals, "I try to create music that takes the listener to a different level of consciousness (kind of like meditation, or drugs and alcohol). For me, instrumental music is the best way to create this "mood altering" effect." He maintains a desire to, at some point, study piano, and is presently listening to Pat Martino, "Both Side Know" and "The Best of John Coltrane". His principal gratification? "Playing live, with my tone just the way I like it, and being totally in the flow," he explains absolutely.

Curtis wraps up by noting current and approaching endeavors enthusiastically, by saying, "Touring to promote my CDs. Deciding what my next guitar purchase will be."
