Chris Bucheit is a driven, vibrant guitarist from La Crosse, Wisconsin (U.S.A.) who describes his style as contemporary fingerstyle guitar, as demonstrated on his latest release, "Naive Work Songs". His guitars of choice consist of a Taylor 814 and a LKSM 12-string. Bucheit has played guitar since 1977, and openly affirms his career goal, "Working to move from semi-pro to professional with the support of a decent label."
When prompted to reveal his favorite effect for the guitar, Bucheit replied, "Totally dry recorded 12-string," and offered his musicial goals, "My first CD was to really establish myself as a solo guitarist. My next CD however I will return to my roots as a vocalist and continue to develop a hyrbrid style of accompaniment that is fingerstyle. Also to play with other musicians I admire." He would love to someday study guitar construction, and is currently listening to Elliot Smith, Leo Kottke and Radiohead. His greatest satisfaction? "Hearing someone express positive feelings about my CD, especially if they are totally unfamiliar with fingerstyle guitar," he states unambiguously.
Bucheit notes ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "Assembling gear to record my next CD's basic tracks in my home studio."
