  Chris Bucheit is a self-motivated and highly regarded six-stringer currently based in La Crosse, Wisconsin (U.S.A.) who reveals his playing style as contemporary fingerstyle guitar, as a listener can readily experience on his most recent album, "Naive Work Songs". photoHis most utilized guitars include a Taylor 814 and a LKSM 12-string. Bucheit has been playing guitar since 1977, and with no holds barred declares his career aspiration, "Working to move from semi-pro to professional with the support of a decent label."

When requested to divulge his one essential effect for the guitar, Bucheit came back with, "Totally dry recorded 12-string," and then pointed out his musicial goals, "My first CD was to really establish myself as a solo guitarist. My next CD however I will return to my roots as a vocalist and continue to develop a hyrbrid style of accompaniment that is fingerstyle. Also to play with other musicians I admire." He fervently hopes to one day study guitar construction, and is presently listening to Elliot Smith, Leo Kottke and Radiohead. His primary fulfillment? "Hearing someone express positive feelings about my CD, especially if they are totally unfamiliar with fingerstyle guitar," he declares categorically.

photoBucheit concludes by listing current and approaching undertakings succinctly, by saying, "Assembling gear to record my next CD's basic tracks in my home studio."
