Bryon Thompson is a highly regarded, committed six-stringer from Leo, Indiana (USA) who reveals his style as accessible instrumental pop rock, as one can clearly experience on his latest album, "Get On With It". His favorite guitar is a Godin A6 (natural finish). Thompson has played guitar since 1980, and candidly acknowledges his career aspiration, "To reach a broader audience with my music by further promoting and encouraging instrumental pop/rock with infectious hooks, catchy melodies and layers of inventive guitar textures to potential listeners."
When requested to reveal his ultimate effect for the guitar, Thompson answered back with, "Reverb," and then brought up his musicial goals, "My goal is always to write and record instrumental pop/rock that's original, accessible and uplifting yet has depth and soul." He hopes to one day study pedal or lap steel, and is at this time listening to Adrian Legg, ELO, Todd Rundgren, Lyle Workman and Bruce Kaphan. His primary fulfillment? "The final mix (!) and having my music appreciated," he affirms conclusively.
Thompson concludes by mentioning continuing and future undertakings succinctly, by saying, "I'm always collecting musical ideas for the next project."
