Adam Carl Stephens is an enthusiastic, dynamic guitarist from Sydney, New South Wales (Australia) who describes his style as instrumental rock, as demonstrated on his latest release, "Skybrain Surfing".  His guitars of choice include a Yamaha Pacifica 112 and a Fender Strat. Stephens has played guitar since 1985, and clearly states his career goal, "Playing gigs, touring, recording and becoming a full time musician."
When asked about his favorite effect for the guitar, Stephens replied, "Wah wah," and mentioned his musicial goals, "To get closer to pure expression through playing." He would love to someday study with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, and is currently listening to Rage Against the Machine, Dweezil Zappa, John Paul Jones and Jeff Beck. His greatest satisfaction? "Playing live when the groove has locked in and you can feel the whole band cookin'," he states unequivocally.
 Stephens lists ongoing and upcoming projects thusly, "Almost finished a CD single with hard rock band Tonker and I'm currently playing in hard as funk band Erratic."
