"Balancing Act"

Nashville guitarist Erik Halbig, who has performed with Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale, Larry Carlton and Will Ray, as well as written several books (including "Introducing The Pentatonics", "Power Pentatonics", "Stand Alone Country" and "Chicken Pickin'") strikes out on his own with "Balancing Act". The CD features 10 instrumentals which run the stylistic gamut from rock to blues, and from country to jazz, all showcasing Halbig's amazing skill with six strings. "Balancing Act" also features a strong supporting cast, including John Gardner on drums, Paul Franklin on steel, Jerry Douglas on dobro, Aubrey Haynie on fiddle and Reese Wynens on organ and piano. To hear a veteran musician (Halbig is currently touring with Sony/Epic Nashville country artist Ty Herndon) in his own element, complete with brilliant examples of what can be done on the guitar, check out "Balancing Act".
