This track was originally going to be titled "The Trick", but I felt "Seduction" sounded better. It has a very sexy kind of a groove in the intro. I can picture girls dancing to it. The symbol for the song on the cover is a very seductive set of lips...oooo lala.

This song is one of my favorites on the album. I used 24 guitar tracks on this one song. It is hard to tell when you listen to it (that is because of the great mix that Ben Fowler did). The melody and lead guitar are going through a Leslie cabinet, which added such a nice touch to the tone. The title comes from there being too much evil around us--well, that is what I felt at the time I wrote the song. The symbol on the CD cover is an evil face.

This is a very special song for my family and I. It was written for my brother-in-law John, who died from cancer. The guitar at the end is supposed to be crying. This is a very emotional piece and that is reflected in every nuance of the song. The title is in reference to waiting for the son of God - Jesus.
The symbol on the CD cover is a burning heart (sacred heart) with thorns around it.

This was a very fun track to record. The intro lead section was improvised on the spot and is the first take. My favorite part of this song is the keyboard solo that Jeff Bova did. let him just do what he felt as the track went by. When you are dealing with such a great studio musician such as Jeff you don`t tell him what to do, ya let him just go with it...and that he did... The symbol on the CD cover is two sets of eyes, one big set, and one small set, which represents Keith`s older brother and himself.

I came up with the main riff to this song in a dream. I usually wake up in the middle of the night and have a song idea in my head. At this time in my life my friend and band mate Charlie passed away. I had visions of him visiting me and giving me this song. This is why I named it "Ghost". The symbol on the CD cover is an illuminated figure, which stands for Charlie.

This song was written for my niece. 6/22 is her birth date. This is another very emotional song. The solo section is one of my favorites on the record. I love the tone, it has just a little MXR phase on it. The symbol on the CD is a fetus in the womb surrounded by roses.

The title for this song is short for maximum. The meaning behind this song is basically to take things to the "Max", very intense, etc. I love the slap bass part before the solo. The solo section is just lead guitar, bass and drums which is how we sound live. The symbol for this song on the CD cover is a high mountain top....

This song is one of the first tracks recorded that features the Whammy Pedal. The inspiration behind this song was the horror movie "The Sentinel". The sentinel is the guardian between Heaven and Hell. The song is a journey of the soul from being alive to dying and then going on to heaven and everything in between. The solo section at the end is supposed to represent a soul making the journey into Heaven. The symbol for this song on the CD cover is a sword and shield, which stands for a guardian.

This song was written for my wife Kim. It was also used for my wedding song. I do not perform this song live, because it is hard to do. It has keyboards on it, percussion, dobro, and an assortment of acoustic guitars. I feel that I cannot do justice to the song live without all the other instruments. The symbol on the CD cover is an old sand hour glass, if you look close enough, it has a man`s face and a woman`s face in the glass. Which is supposed to be my wife and I.

This song really gets you pumped. I love the solo break--this is one of the first solo sections I wrote in my mind first. What I mean by that is I had the melody for the solo in my head. I hummed it out lick by lick and learned it that way. This is a great way to get out of ruts. This song has a different sound from the rest of the CD because it was mixed at the Hit Factory instead of the Avatar Studios. The song is about the different masks people wear in their everyday lives. one for the work place, another with the family and friends, and the one when we`re alone. The symbol on the CD cover is a version of the comedy and tragedy masks.
