his all-acoustic effort by Dave Beegle is just awesome. Every once in a while a CD comes around that just blows me away, in the fashion that this does. I first listened to this while working, and I was so captivated that I just had to sit back and listen. The next thing I know, the CD was over. Wow, it brought me into a place where few seldom can. His name belongs along the side of Paco De Lucia, John McLaughlin and Leo Kotke. Showing respect for the guitar as an instrument, he lists what guitar he is playing for each individual song in the CD sleeve. His playing is clean, soulful and with meaning. This CD is a must for ANY fan of a simple musical instrument known as the "guitar." On a personal note, his rendition of J.S. Bach's "Joy" would make Bach crack a smile and say to Dave, "you da' man."
