The Appassionato Suite is composed of six songs, each based on a similar three note motif throughout. This collection of songs is a subset of a larger work, scheduled to be released on future recordings.

These are two short pieces (`sketches`) for solo guitar. Sketch #1 is a simple prelude, while Sketch #2 is a lively piece written in a renaissance/classical style.

The familiar old English folk song is treated to four variations of contrasting styles: homeland (traditional), espanol (spanish), meloncholia (sad), and aeolian (modal).
