A committed guitar player from the age of 8, Culpepper has had a rich and multi-faceted musical career. In addition to a stint as contributing editor for Guitar World Magazine, Carl has authored many instructional publications, performed in several teaching videos and recorded on projects alongside guitarist Mike Stern and drummer Dave Weckl. Culpepper is also a long-standing faculty member at the Atlanta Institute of Music, where he teaches the Classical and Rock Guitar programs. He has been featured on several CDs including "Radiant" by Randy Hoexter and "Demonstratus" by Thom Hartwick. He can also be heard on the sports theme for the Sunshine Network.
