Rock/Hard Rock
Fans of the progressive hard rock group Kurgan's Bane should have no problem warming up to guitarist Pete Laramee's solo offering, entitled Alone But Not Lonely. The music is guitar-based instrumental rock with shadings of jazz, Latin and classical music. Laramee is joined by his brother Jeff (also of Kurgan's Bane and Sonus Umbra) on drums, Luis Nasser (Kurgan's Bane, Sonus Sumbra) on bass, and "Big" Mike Galway (Uncle Gut, Dysfunctional Family), also on bass. In addition to being influenced by fusion and jazz guitarists, Laramee was influenced by players such as Vinnie Moore, George Lynch, Steve Vai and Greg Howe, which should give some insight into his solo style - which tends toward the high tech - with rapid arpeggios and furious legato lines. A must-have for Kurgan's Bane followers. Instrumental Guitar (Electric/Rock/Hard Rock), total running time, 44:33 - Pete Laramee @ iTunes!
