Denis Taaffe Review of "Alien Guitar: Modern Rock Guitar Vol. II" By: Michael Allison enis Taaffe has got to be one of the most innovative and mind blowing guitar instrumentalist out there today. Every since I heard "Modern Rock Guitar Volume 1", I've been a fan of Denis Taaffe. His usage of effects and his controls on his guitar is absolutely amazing. The longer that you've been playing guitar, the harder it becomes to be influenced by another guitar player's style. I have definitely been influenced by Denis Taaffe's style, and couldn't be more appreciative. Denis creates music that is very inspirational to me, and I'm sure that many more would feel the same if they heard him. His music is like soundscapes of imagery. Sort of an ambient style of music made with the guitar. I absolutely love it. You don't have to be a guitar player to understand either. This music speaks to everyone. You may not get the complexity, but you'll definitely understand the feelings and emotions.
