Fingerstyle
Former Steel Prophet and Rocket Scientists guitarist Jimmy Williams' new 12-song solo acoustic guitar work is entitled Acquiescence, and it displays a wide range of styles from rock, flamenco, ambient to traditional acoustic. Williams began playing guitar at the age of 13. His formal years began with lessons from his father, who began showing Jimmy various licks and barre chords. It wasn't long before he discovered Eddie Van Halen and performed "Eruption" in his high school talent show during his sophomore year. A few years later Jimmy happened upon a new discovery, a young Swedish virtuoso by the name of Yngwie J. Malmsteen. In 1994 Jimmy was selected to be featured in Guitar Magazine's "Resume Column" and moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. He has since released heavy electric guitar-based solo CDs such as "Sonic Divergence" and "Guitar Concepts". Instrumental Guitar (Acoustic/Fingerstyle), total running time, 42:55 - Jimmy Williams @ iTunes!
