No bass, no drums, no keyboard pads - just six minutes of unadulterated shred in its purest form. I played the monstrosity start to finish in one take, no punches, no need to fix anything. A little Ritchie Blackmore meets Uli Roth meets Yngwie in the beginning, some intense arpeggio play then some extreme Paganini induced violinesque shredding to end the piece.

One of my first up tempo double-bass compositions from the pre-Guitar Dominance days. Some of my early influences are quite apparent on this one. Part Malmsteen, part Blackmore mixed with a bit of early Racer X. It holds up nicely considering the track is almost ten years old.

A nice duet with the keyboards. The melody is really pretty and very expressive. I tried to make every note count. A nice representation of the emotional side of my playing.

A cover of the Rainbow classic which was originally recorded by the Yardbirds. Dio sang this tune on many live renditions but Blackmore did an instrumental version of it on the very first Rainbow album. I recorded this during the Rapid Fire Rondo sessions and it was originally a bonus track in Japan. Just continuing to pay tribute to the man in black.

When I first started to play with the instrumental thing the full band name was Joe Stump`s Guitar Dominance. Quite long and pretentious I know. This epic track was a live favorite of ours. Originally recorded during the Guitar Dominance sessions.

Another Guitar Dominance recording session track with an obvious Hendrix influence. The title says it all, this tune is definitely in the pocket. In spots I do manage to channel some of Jimi`s vibe.

A solo violin piece influenced by Bach`s brilliant sonatas and partitas.

A rootsy, bluesy rocker from the Supersonic Shred Machine sessions. The middle solo has a reckless, noisy kind of Hendrixian feel to it. I love the end where it kicks into the up tempo section, it reminds me of an old Deep Purple Machine Head era type of thing.

Recorded live during one of my recent US tours. I love to play live, when it`s time to fire up it makes all the traveling and hassles that go along with touring worth it.

The Psycho Shred Suite is my most challenging and insanely difficult piece to date. I`m constantly trying to push myself to the edge of my ability. This tune will appear on my next full studio instrumental recording. Until then enjoy this live rendition.
